Every human being is created uniquely. In many ways we are different from each other, and sometimes we easily equate them. Likewise, in the world of yoga, the human body is the foundation for yoga movements, especially yoga asanas. To achieve optimal health, we have to understand how our body works.
The uniqueness of this body means that many movements can’t be the same for everyone. Modifying yoga poses is very important to reduce the risk of injury m, so we can bring our practice to its true goal: physical and spiritual health.
Unfortunately, many yoga practitioners and even yoga teachers don't really understand anatomy. They only learn a little so they are unable to apply in the yoga classes they teach. This is not right, and many injuries occur due to a yoga teacher forcing their students to do a certain pose. They just think “If i can do this pose, and my students should be able to do it too!”
That's why I say that yoga poses can be dangerous if we do without a strong basic understanding of the body anatomy.
Today we learn anatomy at teacher training Yin Yoga. Our lead teacher Yuni explains anatomy clearly in simple language. It is hoped that all participants from various practice levels can understand and absorb the knowledge very well.
